Waste vouchers cannot be used for the disposal of:
These items will continue to incur a cost for disposal as per > BRC waste disposal fees.
At the direction of waste facility staff recyclable items must be separated from the waste as this minimises what is sent to landfill and maximises recycling.
Residents who have an approved residential dwelling on their property are issued waste disposal vouchers.
The provision of vouchers to tenants is at the discretion of the property owner/agent, however landlords and property managers are encouraged to pass vouchers on to their tenants.
Bundaberg Regional Council are not responsible for distribution of vouchers to private residential tenants.
Government, retirement, lifestyle and Council housing residents are all entitled to waste vouchers.
Waste vouchers are allocated directly to and issued via a separate mailout to the residential property address.
Commercial operators are excluded from this program - all relevant commercial waste disposal charges will apply.
Vacant land and properties with outbuildings, such as sheds and other ineligible dwellings, are NOT entitled to waste vouchers.
This includes agricultural land which does not have an eligible domestic structure.
The voucher system entitles multiple dwelling properties (flats, units etc) within the Bundaberg Region to two waste disposal vouchers for each structure capable of separate occupation (each flat/unit etc).
One rate assessment can contain multiple properties/parcels (lot/plan) - each eligible domestic residential dwelling on these properties will receive waste vouchers.
New residential properties must have a completed final stage inspection to be eligible for waste vouchers.
New eligible properties will be flagged, waste vouchers will then be issued as part of the next annual release in July.
If a property is sold throughout the year, new owners are able to contact Council regarding waste vouchers.
Waste Vouchers will only be re-issued if unused against the property address.
