Fee Waiver Program Up to $3,000

Overview

Council facilitates the hire of its community venues, facilities and parks in accordance with Hire of Council Venues, Facilities and Parks Policy (‘the Policy’) (OP-3-067).

In accordance with the Policy, Council’s existing fees and charges schedule make provision for not-for-profit organisations to receive an immediate fee reduction of 50%, where a fee is not included with a 50% reduction, an equivalent not for profit organisation reduction is provided.

Reduced venue hire fees and charges may be offered by way of reduction or waiver of hire fees by way of application through the Fee Waiver Program process. Fee Waiver grants are administered in accordance with Council’s Community Grants Policy (CP-3-015).

Who can apply?

  • Bundaberg Regional Council based not for profit groups/organisations holding an event or activity which is a public event and open to community attendance
  • Groups who have lodged an application to hire one of the Council facilities listed above
  • Groups/organisations who have a current public liability certificate

Applicants may seek a fee wavier of venue hire fees for the following facilities through the Fee Waiver application process:

  • Apple Tree Creek Sportsgrounds
  • Bargara Cultural and Community Centre
  • Bundaberg Civic Centre
  • Bundaberg Multiplex Sports & Convention Centre
  • Bundaberg Racecourse Clubhouse
  • Bundaberg Recreational Precinct – excluding Covered Arena and Centre Show Ring
  • Bundaberg CBD Pavilion
  • Childers Neighbourhood Centre
  • Childers Showgrounds
  • Coronation Hall
  • Daph Geddes Park
  • Elliott Heads Hall
  • Gin Gin Community Hub
  • Gin Gin RSL Hall
  • Gin Gin Youth Activity Centre
  • Gracie Dixon building
  • Moncrieff Entertainment Centre
  • Salter Oval Banner
  • School of Arts
  • St George Hall

The maximum amount of any fee waiver will be $3,000 and successful applicants can only receive funding once every second financial year.

Before applying for a Fee Waiver, applicants must have lodged their venue hire application, as the Booking ID will be required in your application.
