Bundaberg Regional Council Planning Scheme 2015

(Version 6.7)

The planning scheme sets out the blueprint for future growth and development of the Bundaberg Region. It was originally made under the Sustainable Planning Act 2009, with Version 1.0 commencing on 19 October 2015 (see gazette notice(PDF, 93KB)).

The current version of the planning scheme (Version 6.7) was adopted by Council at its meeting held 25 August 2026 and takes effect on and from 28 August 2026 (see gazette notice(PDF, 251KB)). Version 6.7 of the planning scheme incorporates a tailored amendment to change the zoning of Council owned land at Bundaberg Ring Road and Telegraph Road, Bundaberg East (known and referred to as 'Gympie Estate'), from the Low density residential zone to the Open space zone.
