Micro grants program up to $2,000

The Micro Grants Program aims to provide financial assistance to community groups and associations that meet recognised community needs as identified in Council's Community Development Strategy 2024 -2028(PDF, 4MB) or Bundaberg Region Sport and Recreation Strategy(PDF, 12MB) . The available financial assistance per micro grant application for eligible projects/events is up to $2000.

Applications for the Micro Grant Program are open twelve (12) rounds per year on a financial year basis until budgeted funds are expended.

Applications open on the first day of each month and closes on the last Friday of the month.

Successful applicants can receive one allotment of Council financial assistance each financial year from any Fee Waiver, Sponsorship, or Community Grants Program, except the Special Events Grant.

Events, activities, or proposals that received funding in the current financial year will be ineligible, regardless of the group/ organisation and those that received funding in the previous financial year, while eligible to apply, will be de-prioritised against new applications.

Applications are assessed at the beginning of each new month. Notification of assessment outcomes will be advised within ten (10) working days after closure of the grant round.

For eligibility, please refer to the Micro Grants Program guideline and Community Grants Policy.
