Important advice:
- Maintenance of the sewerage system is essential and Council needs to complete these planned works to ensure the sewerage system operates effectively.
- The completion of these scheduled works are dependent on weather and other work commitments and may be subject to change.
While works are being completed:
- You may hear the cleaning machinery in the pipework while this work is being completed, this is normal.
- Toilets, sinks etc. can still be used as normal, though while not in use residents are advised to ensure toilet lids are kept down during this period. While being a rare occurrence air may be released through the toilet pans. This situation is normally caused by partial blockages within the property owner’s sanitary house drain that prevents the vent on the drain from functioning correctly.
Should you have any queries regarding these works please contact Council’s Customer Service Centre on telephone 1300 883 699. Council apologises for any inconvenience these works may cause and thanks you for your patience.
