Qunaba Waste Facility Update

Visitors to the Qunaba Waste Facility will notice changed traffic conditions due to essential works to upgrade the site’s ageing weighbridges.

The existing infrastructure has reached the end of its operational life and is being renewed to maintain safe and efficient operations.

During the upgrade and to continue operations on site one weighbridge will be open for operation and the other closed for maintenance.

If you utilise this waste facility:

  • Be aware, follow all signage and traffic signals on site
  • One weighbridge being used for entry and exit during the upgrade

Council thanks facility users for their patience and cooperation while these important upgrades are complete.

Project duration: February to June 2026
