Forgotten Foods to Fabulous Feasts
The Forgotten Foods to Fabulous Feasts program aims to support community members looking to explore healthy eating options on a budget.
Running from both the Childers and Gin Gin Neighbourhood Centres, the program offers a range of free support including:
Local produce
Enjoy delicious donated produce from local farms and businesses.
Cooking classes
Join in free community classes where volunteers will demonstrate how to cook with local and donated ingredients.
Tips and tricks
Learn tips and tricks for healthy eating and shopping to a budget and get access to a range of easy and delicious recipes.
BBQs
Gather together every month to enjoy a free community barbecue.
Childers: First Thursday of each month from 11.30 am to 12.30 pm at the Childers Neighbourhood Centre. Bookings required through the Childers Neighbourhood Centre.
Gin Gin: Last Thursday of each month from 11.30 am to 1 pm at the Gin Gin Neighbourhood Centre. No bookings required.
