Temporary parking permits
While all users of Council’s regulated parking are required to adhere to the signed parking restrictions, Council acknowledges that there may be occasions where longer stay parking may be required. Tradespersons requiring their work vehicles to be parked nearby to access or load or unload tools or materials is an example. In these situations, Council can issue a Temporary Parking Permit, which is subject to certain conditions of use, for the vehicle for a designated period of time.
To obtain a permit simply attend your nearest Council service centre and complete a Temporary Parking Permit application. A permit will then be issued which must be clearly displayed on the dashboard of the nominated vehicle.
