Direct debit payments

Rates

A rates direct debit is when you authorise council to take money from your bank account on a Weekly, Fortnightly, Monthly or Half-yearly basis. Terms and conditions apply to all arrangements:

Please note: Direct debit is a method of payment only. If you are paying your rates in advance via direct debit you do not need a payment plan with Council. However if you are repaying a rates debt, that is rate arrears, by direct debit, you will also need a payment plan with Council to clarify when the outstanding amount will be paid in full.

If you have rate arrears and do not already have a payment plan, please contact Council’s Debt Recovery team to confidentially discuss your situation and your rates repayment.

Accounts receivable

An accounts receivable direct debit is when you authorise Council to take money from your bank account on a fortnightly basis. Terms and conditions apply to all arrangements:
