Corflute signs and bin stickers will be placed throughout affected suburbs advising of the change closer to the 20 October.

Due to this major service update, collection times may vary even if your bin collection day stays the same.

To avoid disruptions to your bin collection service, please place your bins out the night before or by 5 am on collection day.

Why is your bin day changing?

Growth in areas throughout the region has seen the number of bins collected increase beyond our capacity on certain days.

To correct this imbalance, we are changing the days for some areas to improve the efficiency of the routes and optimize our level of service.

Additionally, all recyclables in your yellow-lidded bin are delivered to our Material Recovery Facility where they are hand-sorted. Evenly spreading this workload throughout the week will help to improve the recovery rate of these materials
