Nielson Park

Nielson Park is located at the northern end of the Bargara Esplanade. It is home to the Bargara Lifesaving Surf Club which overlooks the patrolled Nielson surf beach. A great park with pathways, playground for the kids and plenty of picnic tables, barbecues and facilities for that family get together. There is a skate park for older children adjacent to the skating rink. The Turtle Trail pathway runs along the length of Nielson Beach Park in a northerly direction to Mon Repos and in a southerly direction to Schuhkraft Park and Bargara Turtle Park. Nielson Park is also home to Bargara Park Run, a free timed 5km run held every Saturday at 7:00am.
