Advocacy priorities

Council develops advocacy priorities which are aligned with the needs of our community and reflect a strong commitment by Council.

These priorities ensure other levels of government understand the opportunity to support the Bundaberg Region to become a vibrant, liveable and connected community.

Bundaberg Region Economic Development Strategy 2025-2035

Council has delivered an economic development strategy to guide its actions to promote economic growth and investment in the Bundaberg Region.

Built around the core principles of collaboration, facilitation and connection, the strategy outlines five key drivers for economic development: workforce planning, business and innovation, investment attraction, enabling infrastructure and development.

Hotel Demand Feasibility Study

Hotel investment attraction is a key advocacy area for Council to support future growth in the region.
