Age Friendly Focus Groups

Bundaberg Regional Council is inviting community members to take part in Age-Friendly Focus Groups running from October to mid-December 2025.
These sessions aim to gather lived experience from across the Bundaberg Region to help shape a more inclusive future!
We’re seeking lived experience from across the Bundaberg Region from:
- Older people (65+)
- Carers of older people
- Service providers who support older people
Focus groups will explore eight key areas recognised as essential to age-friendly communities:
- Outdoor spaces and buildings
- Transportation
- Housing
- Social participation
- Respect and social inclusion
- Civic participation and employment
- Communication and information
- Community support and health services
Focus group participants will attend a single 4-hour session, answering questions about their experiences in accessing outdoor spaces, buildings, transport and community involvement. Tea, coffee and morning/afternoon tea is provided.
Focus groups will be held in:
- Bundaberg
- Bargara
- Burnett Heads
- Childers
- Coral Coast/Innes Park
- Elliot Heads
- Gin Gin
- Moore Park Beach
- Woodgate
