Bundaberg Botanic Gardens boardwalk renewal project | The Bundaberg Botanic Gardens boardwalk (behind Cafe 1928) is due for renewal. The project will include removal of a section of boardwalk to improve the water flow and reduce nutrients in the lake. A new boardwalk will be installed in February 2023. |
A section of the boardwalk was removed in October 2022. This section will not be replaced. Work to remove and replace the remaining boardwalk will start on 28 February 2023 |

Bundaberg CBD Tree Planting Project | Select garden beds in the Bundaberg CBD, between Maryborough Street and Tantitha Street will receive an upgrade. Existing vegetation will be removed and replaced with a tree and additional vegetation. Work will occur early in the morning to minimise disruption to customers and businesses. Work is being undertaken in three stages. Stage one and two have been completed. Stage three is currently underway and is three-quarters completed. | End of December 2022 | Tree Planting Project |

Childers Skatepark | Refurbishment and maintenance works | Monday 27 February - Sunday 5 March 2023 | Following an assessment of Childers skatepark in 2022, refurbishment and maintenance works were identified that will improve the surface of the skatepark and skating experience. Council have engaged Trinity Skateparks, who have a wealth of experience in building skateparks and their associated technical requirements, to undertake the work. The skatepark will re-open to the public on Monday 6 March 2023. |
