Seniors Forum and Expo

2020 Seniors Forum and Expo has been postponed as a preventative measure taken against the spread of COVID 19.

Each year Council hosts the Seniors Forum and Expo and works with the community in identifying the key themes to be highlighted on the day through a range of guest speakers and displays.

2020 Seniors Forum and Expo will be held on Tuesday 17 March – 9am to 1pm at the Multiplex Convention centre, 1 Civic Avenue, Bundaberg

This year’s theme is Seniors Connect – Live life, focusing on senior’s health and wellbeing, staying active, connected and informed.

The Forum will take place in the Function room of the Multiplex Convention Centre, with industry experts presenting a range of topics, on subjects of concern for seniors. It will be running concurrently with the Expo.

The Expo will be held in the Exhibition Hall of the Multiplex Convention Centre with Senior friendly community organisations and businesses showcasing their services to the senior community of the Bundaberg region.

Registrations have now closed for the 2020 Seniors Forum and Expo. We have had a record number of stall holders register, with over 64 groups and organisations planning to promote their services for Seniors. The Expo of stalls will be hosted for your convenience in the Convention Hall of the Multiplex Centre, air conditioned with live entertainment for you to enjoy.

The 2020 Seniors Forum and Expo will be open from 9.00am until 1.00pm. Guest speakers will be hosted in Function Room 1, with a keynote speaker, Robert Zillman, Director of Aged Care Regulation for the Department of Health to present on Aged Care programs. This will ensure that the Seniors of the Bundaberg Region have an understanding of the choices, facts and details, that their future may hold. The Forum has a diverse group of speakers to follow. You can expect information on Medication Management, Exercising for Seniors; Tai Chi and Yoga, Power of Attorney, Palliative Care, Mobility and Balance and Driver Safety.

Morning tea will be provided, with bottomless cups of tea and coffee available. Barista coffee may be purchased from the servery.  Exhibitions and displays will be on view in the foyer, and we plan on making this the best Forum and Expo ever!

2020 Seniors Forum and Expo is brought to you by Bundaberg Regional Council, in proud partnership with the Bundaberg Neighbourhood Centre, RSL Queensland, Blue Care, Wide Bay Hospital and Health Care, RSL Sub Branch,  Australian Red Cross, U3A, COTA QLD and AIM Hearing.
