Nardoo Nursery's Herb Garden for Kids

Children and their parents are invited to enjoy a morning at the beautiful Nardoo gardens learning how to plant an herb garden.

Nardoo’s Herb Garden workshop is a fun, hands-on experience where kids (ages 6+) get their hands in soil, explore the smells and textures of herbs, and learn practical gardening skills.

Guided by Nardoo’s horticulture manager, children will prepare a garden bed and plant a selection of herbs such as basil, parsley, mint, and chives. Kids will also learn how plants grow, what herbs need to thrive, and how these plants can be used in everyday cooking.

Kids will also receive an easy-to-grow herb to plant in their own pots. By the end of the session, each child will take home their own planted herbs along with simple tips on how to care for them.

Parents are welcome to relax on the deck under the trees and purchase barista coffee and cake from the cafe.
