Rates Payment Methods

Council accepts the following methods for payment for rates:

   BPAY View: The advantages of BPAY View are:
  • Bills are located in one place - easy to find.
  • Bills can be viewed online anywhere, anytime.
  • Pay in one easy step - no filling in information.

Sign up today in 3 simple steps:

  1. Log into your online banking account.
  2. Look for BPAY View or View Bills section.
  3. Register to receive Bundaberg Regional Council notices.

Type in Biller Code 5744 and your reference number is your Rates Assessment Number.

Your bank will notify you when notices arrive.

Note: Should you register or have already registered for the BPAY View Service and then sell your property, you must deregister the property with your provider.

  Direct Debit: Ratepayers may pay their rates automatically by setting up a weekly, fortnightly, monthly, or half-yearly direct debit, to suit their budget or circumstances. Please complete the online Direct Debit form which will be submitted directly to Council via email. 
  BPAY: Payment can be made via internet banking from a cheque or savings account, or by phone with a debit or credit card (Visa or MasterCard). Please quote Biller Code 5744 and the reference number shown on the BPAY logo on the front of your Rate Notice. 
  BPOINT Phone: Call 1300 BPOINT (1300 276 468) (or from outside Australia call +61294235551) any time to pay with MasterCard or Visa.  Please quote Biller Code 5744 and the reference number shown on the front of your Rate Notice.
  BPOINT Internet: Make a BPOINT payment online here. Please use the reference number shown on the front of your Rate Notice. 
  BPOINT in Person: Present your Rate Notice at any retailer displaying the BPOINT logo with your cash, debit card, MasterCard or Visa. For retailer locations visit www.bpoint.com.au.
  Australia Post: Pay in-store at Australia Post, online at auspost.com.au/postbillpay or by phone 13 18 16. Pay by cheque, debit or credit card (Visa or MasterCard) only.
  Australia Post 'Scan and Pay' App: Ratepayers can download the 'Scan and Pay' App and, using your smart phone, scan the barcode on the front of your Rate Notice and follow the prompts to make a payment.
  By Mail: Remove the bottom section of the Rate Notic, which contains your payment details, and return it with your payment to Bundaberg Regional Council, PO Box 3130, Bundaberg QLD 4670. All cheques are to be in Australian dollars. Make cheques payable to Bundaberg Regional Council. Acceptance of a cheque and the issue of a receipt therefore is conditional on collection of the proceeds and until collection, no credit is given or implied.
  In Person: Present your Rate Notice to Council's Administration Offices located at 190 Bourbong Street Bundaberg, 160 Hughes Road Bargara, 45 Churchill Street Childers and 4 Dear Street Gin Gin, between 8.15am and 4.00pm Monday to Friday. Payment methods are cash, EFTPOS, cheque, money order, debit and credit card (Visa or MasterCard). 
  Via Centrepay: User Centrepay to arrange regular deductions from your Centrelink payment. Simply call Centrelink. Please quote the Centrepay Reference number for Bundaberg regional Council: 555 072 141A and use your Assessment Number as Council's Reference Number when requesting an application form.
