Heart Foundation walking

Heart Foundation Walking provides a network of community-based walking groups which are free to join. Groups are led by volunteer walk organisers from within the local community. Why not join a walking group, make new friends while enjoying our mild climate and participating in self-paced exercise?

Heart Foundation Walking groups are active in our community in Bargara and Bundaberg.

General guidelines for being active:

  • doing any physical activity is better than doing none
  • if you currently do no physical activity, start by doing some and gradually build up to the recommended amount
  • be active every day in as many ways as you can
  • for adults, do muscle strengthening activities on at least 2 days each week
