Bundaberg Regional Council pays particular attention to the wellbeing of Seniors. Council appreciates wellness is important at any age.
By promoting and supporting initiatives that increase participation, promote positive attitudes towards older people and aging, and enhance community connections, Council focuses on building age-friendly communities across the Region.
Seniors Month
Seniors Come and Try Day
To celebrate Seniors Month, Bundaberg Regional Council will be hosting the Seniors Come and Try Day. The event will be held at the Recreational Precinct (Main Pavilion) on Wednesday October 19, 2022. from 9am to 1pm.
This year’s event is to highlight the local clubs and activities available within the Bundaberg community, encourage the members to showcase their hobbies and skills, and to boost community participation and awareness.
The Seniors Come and Try Day provides a fun and enjoyable day for senior members of the Bundaberg community; an opportunity to meet local clubs, groups and associations and try new activities, provide opportunities to widen social circles, ask questions, collect information, and connect with groups and like-minded individuals.
The day will be a relaxed fun day of activities and performances from local clubs and organisations.
