Accessibility
Bundaberg sets some very unique challenges in the disability sector with a higher than average population of people living with a disability. Bundaberg Regional Council in partnership with the All Abilities Network, community services, groups and organisations collaboratively work towards ensuring our region is both inclusive and accessible.
Options Day
Options Day - opening paths to skill and education for people living with disability.
Options Day is held in September each year and is a local, annual, community driven event that invites people to discover the rapidly emerging opportunities in the local disability sector. This event offers inclusive hands on and engaging activities for the whole community, feature guest speakers, information stalls, a sausage sizzle, complemented by rides, slides and much more.
Options Day is a special event with a focus on the opportunities and stories underpinning the changing disability sector.
This event is open to the whole community, and will be a great day for the whole family. It also doubles as an opportunity for people with disability and their carers to familiarise themselves with some of the service providers and community groups that can support them.
