Get Ready Goosechase 2022 Terms and Conditions

The Get Ready Goosechase Teams 2022 is open to people living within the Bundaberg Regional Council (Council) area who register their team online at


The Get Ready Goosechase Teams 2022 game starts on Saturday 25 June 2022 and finishes on Sunday 10 July 2022. Winners will be announced on Monday 18 July 2022.

Winning teams will be informed and invited to this event, but if they cannot attend a suitable time will be arranged for them to collect their prize.

Teams are asked to register by Monday 20 June 2022 but late registrations will be taken up to and including, Monday 27 June 2022. No registrations will be accepted after this date

The game is only available to those that have registered for a Get Ready Goose Chase Teams 2022 Kit online at or on the paper-based form received by 20 June 2022 or at the latest Monday 27 June 2022

For teams that wish to enter in more than one location, you need to complete a registration for each location as each location is a separate game and points gained in one location are not added to another locations game score.

Once you have registered for your kit, you will be able to collect your kit at the following times and locations:

Monday 20 June

Childers Neighbourhood Centre

Wednesday 22 June

3.00pm – 6pm


School of Arts Building

Thursday 23 June

8.30am – 7.30pm

Outside the above times, you will need to contact the Game Manager on: or 0429 915 602 to arrange another time.

The kit will contain:

  • The game code and password required to gain entry into the game and instructions on the App required to play
  • Several items that are to be used as a part of missions that are set in the game.
  • All other information needed or relevant to participate in the missions.

Before you begin the Get Ready Goosechase Teams 2022, YOUR TEAM need to be aware of the following: 

  • This is a fun game and everyone who plays submits photos and information that everyone playing can see.


By downloading the App and playing this game you agree and acknowledge the Terms of Service of GooseChase which can be found at Please note participants under the age of 13 are not permitted to download the GooseChase App.


All participants under the age of 18 entering and registering to take part in the Get Ready Goosechase Teams 2022, will need to have parental consent. When you register online at for the Get Ready Goosechase Teams 2022 Kit, you will be given two options in providing parental/guardian consent:

Team members under 18 years of age and all from the same family:

  1. Complete the form online and provide a digital signature on this form, or
  2. When you collect your get ready GooseChase kit, you can provide a signed copy of the parent guardian consent form

Team members under 18 years from multiple families:

  1. Complete the form online and provide a digital signature on this form, or
  2. When you collect your get ready GooseChase kit, you can provide a signed copy of the parent guardian consent form that each parent has signed

Get Ready Goosechase Kits will not be given to those that have not provided a parental/guardian consent form for any team members under 18 years of age.


To the fullest extent permitted by law, Council does not accept liability of any nature for any injury, damage, loss, delay or additional expenses which are incurred at or in association with participation in this game. Where legislation implies any condition or warranty which cannot be excluded or modified, that condition or warranty will be deemed to be included in these Terms and Conditions. In no event will Council be liable for any indirect, consequential, exemplary or special damages.


  • Admission into the game is at the participant’s own risk. You acknowledge that we will not be responsible for any injury to any person as well as loss or damage to property whilst participating in the game by you or your invitees.
  • You will be liable for any loss or damage caused by participating in the game by you or your invitees.
  • We reserve the right at any time, to change the missions. In the event of a change, we will publish an alert via the GooseChase event notifications.
  • The right of admission in the game is reserved and is subject to the agreement of Council.
  • All participants, when conducting their activities, are governed by the laws of Queensland, and by the local laws of Bundaberg Regional Council, including any localised COVID-19 law or restriction that may be in place in any given area at the time of participation in the activity. The Laws of the Queensland will apply.


Please ensure:

  • That all entries submitted are suitable for children of all ages to view. 
  • That all entries submitted do not include swearing or inappropriate behaviour.
  • That all entries do not insight racism, bullying or defame any individual.
  • That you only submit images that have the consent of those people in the image.
  • That when participating you consider the health, safety and wellbeing of all who participate, including animals and the environment. 
  • Council will not be responsible or liable for any breaches of the above requirements, or any effects or consequences of any breach of the above requirements.

Please note: 

If you or your team submit something that is deemed inappropriate by the Game Manager: Bundaberg Regional Council, your submission will be deleted.

The Game Manager will determine any of the following

  • If points will be taken off your team score. 
  • If you will be given the chance to resubmit your entry.
  • Or if you will be removed from the game

Any behaviour contravening the laws of Queensland, the laws of the Commonwealth of Australia, any State, Territory or Local Law affecting the location where any team member or individual is participating in the activity, or any COVID-19 law, requirement or restriction affecting the location where any team member or individual is participating in of the area the activity, will be reported to the relevant authorities. Council reserves its rights, in its absolute discretion to disqualify any participant from the Get Ready Goose Chase game for non-compliance of these Terms and Conditions or otherwise acting against the spirit of the game, as determined at Council’s discretion.

​We need your support. If you see something inappropriate submitted by other individuals, please email the Game Manager at Let us know the individuals name and the mission you are concerned about as this will assist us in finding it as quickly as possible.


Prizes will be awarded to teams that gain the most points by completing the missions of the game. The below prizes may be changed at any time at Council’s discretion.

Prize packs will also be drawn during the game at the times listed below. Bonus points will be allocated by the Game Manager, for highlighted bonus point mission activities within the game.

Major prizes in all 3 Locations (Bundaberg, Childers, Gin Gin): all major prize winners will be announced on 18 July 2022.

Prize winners will be notified by email, phone or by message within the Goosechase App. Council’s decision of prize winners is final, and no correspondence will be entered into. Prizes are not redeemable for cash.


By participating in Get Ready Goosechase Teams 2022 game you are acknowledging that you are fully aware that as a participant of this game you and your team are responsible for your own health, safety and wellbeing as well as all others around you, including your neighbours, animals and the environment. You are responsible for your own actions. It is your responsibility to follow and abide by the changing laws and responsibilities as per COVID19 restrictions


After the Get Ready Goosechase Teams 2022 game has completed, the Game Manager: Bundaberg Regional Council, may contact you to provide you an opportunity to provide feedback on your experience.


By participating in the Bundaberg Regional Council Get Ready Goosechase Teams 2022 game you are acknowledging you are fully aware that all photos and videos uploaded as part of the game will be shared with all participants. Please also be aware that photos and videos taken could be distributed on websites, print, social media and electronic media and other associated promotional material. Masks or disguises can be worn if required.

​Council will not be responsible for any photograph or video being copied, shared, uploaded, saved to an individual device, or otherwise collected, reposted or used in any other way, as a result of the participant uploading any photo or video to the app in connection with the GooseChase.

If there are any issues regarding photos and videos please contact the organiser as soon as possible.

Media Consent 

I, provide this media, film, photo and recording consent to the Bundaberg Regional Council, its employees, officers, agents and contractors (collectively, the ‘Council’) and in doing so:

  1.  Agree to allow the Council to:

  1. Make images or recordings, whether sound, digital or otherwise of me (‘images and recordings’);
  2. Use, publish or reproduce the images and recordings in any form (in whole or in part) and by any medium, including but not limited to newspapers, magazines, brochures, television advertisements, promotional videos, newsletters, training material, corporate documents, websites including Council’s intranet and internet, social media sites or any other medium for public relations, commercial and advertising purposes (‘promotional materials’);
  3. Retain or store the images and recordings in hard copy or digitally; and
  4. Transfer any personal information held in or associated with images and recordings outside of Australia.
  1. Agree that the Council is the owner of copyright in the images and recordings and agree that rights granted under this Release are perpetual and I will not receive any payment, royalty or other consideration (whether monetary or otherwise) from the Council in connection with the making, use or storage of the images and recordings or the promotional materials.
  1. Agree to the Council collecting, storing, handling, accessing, managing, transferring, destroying, using and disclosing the images and recordings and personal information about me, including but not limited to my name, details and images in connection with the images and recordings and that Council shall do so in accordance with its Privacy Statement and the Information Privacy Act 2009 (Qld).
