Bundaberg Regional Art Gallery (BRAG) is located in the heart of Bundaberg city and showcases local artists, amongst a suite of exhibitions drawn from local, state and national artists within three unique exhibition spaces – Gallery One, The Vault (on floor level) and Gallery Two upstairs.

The building is iconic for many reasons and currently features on the Barolin Street side the design and inspiration taken from local artist Florence Broadhurst and on the adjacent Quay Street side the work of Tina Harada (which also resides as part of the galleries collection). BRAG hosts a range of events, workshops, talks and educational programs throughout the year and has a team of eight and many dedicated volunteers who work behind the scenes to make it all happen.

BRAG additionally has an access studio which is a great workshop space and an Artists Studio where visiting artists take up residence throughout their exhibition at various times throughout the year.

Some of the exhibition spaces (dependant on what is exhibiting at the time) are also available to hire for special corporate and social functions.

BRAG is open Monday to Friday 10am to 5pm, Saturday & Sunday 9am to 1pm.

Childers Arts Space (CHARTS) is located in the historic Palace Building in Churchill Street, sharing the space alongside the Palace Memorial in memory of the lives tragically lost in the Childers Backpacker fire.

This beautifully restored building houses local and touring exhibitions from artists both locally and from across Australia and features an Emerging Artist space alongside the main gallery space. You will Edwina with a whole host of wonderful volunteers behind her in support, as well as the staff based at BRAG working across both facilities.

CHARTS is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 4pm, Saturday &Sunday 9am to 3pm.

Our regional galleries are the hub of arts activity in the region and promote and foster creativity in people of all ages.
