Gin Gin Nature Park - Call for submissions

Council is seeking comments on the future management of 17 hectares of bushland on the outskirts of Gin Gin. It is proposed the Reserve for Environmental Purposes be named 'Gin Gin Nature Park', and be used for conservation and protection of native vegetation and wildlife.

Council intends to promote the nature park for bushwalking and other nature based recreation. The park contains a flowing creek and rare vegetation, including 300 year old trees, and wildlife such as platypus and native birds.

Public Meeting:

When: 13 October 2016

Where: Gin Gin Youth Centre (near the tennis courts)

Time: 2pm or 7pm. Council Staff will be present at both meetings

Guided Tour

When: 22 October 2016

Where: Meet behind the Puma Service Station

Time: 3pm to 5pm
