Aviation and Aerospace Precinct»

Capitalising on the aviation and aerospace industry base of the region, and complementing the recent upgrades to core Bundaberg Regional Airport infrastructure, Council is currently developing an industrial/commercial subdivision at the Aviation and Aerospace Precinct. Bundaberg Regional Council is embarking on an ambitious project to revitalise the Bundaberg CBD and establish a premier commercial hub for the Wide Bay. Read more

Bundaberg Recreational Precinct»

The Bundaberg Recreational Precinct project will create a quality regional recreational and events precinct by relocating the Bundaberg Showgrounds to the Agrotrend site and adjacent reserve. Council identified the need to relocate the existing facility to a new precinct in 2002-03 due to a number of factors. Read more

Burnett River Floodplain Action Plan and Evacuation Routes

With the support of the Queensland Government, Bundaberg Region Council delivers on priorities identified by the Community Reference Group formed to assist Council with the development of the Burnett River Floodplain Action Plan. Work is underway to upgrade evactuation routes and construct a flood levee.

Draft Riverside Master Plan

The Bundaberg Regional Council, in partnership with the Queensland Department of State Development, Infrastructure and Planning (DSDIP), is developing a new Bundaberg Riverside Masterplan. Read More

Elliott Heads Foreshore Masterplan and Kiosk»

The Elliott Heads Foreshore is situated in a highly visible location when entering the township of Elliott Heads. As a 'destination' parkland, the reserve is utilised by local residents and visitors alike, acting as a focal point for those people utilising the open parkland space and amenities, enjoying the natural beauty and views offered, accessing the bathing reserve and patrolled beach, the Elliott River, the Elliott Heads Holiday Park, the Elliott Heads Surf Life Saving clubhouse and utilising the Elliott Heads community hall. Kay McDuff-Ring Road Link and Eggmolesse Street Construction

The construction of the missing link between Kay McDuff Drive and the Bundaberg Ring Road will provide a major heavy vehicle traffic corridor to and from the Bundaberg Ring Road with direct access to the Bundaberg Food Park industrial development. Construction of this new $2.6 Million link will offer significant cost savings and road network efficiencies for both the businesses established in this industrial area and heavy vehicle freight companies. Bundaberg Multi-use Sports & Community Centre (Redevelopment of Showgrounds)»

Bundaberg Regional Council has commenced investigations into the redevelopment of the Bundaberg Showgrounds. Building on pre-feasibility studies Council is now examining network infrastructure to develop an overall vision for the precinct. At present the land parcels that make up the overall site consist of a mixture of community reserves over which Council is trustee along with a freehold portion owned by Council. Read More

Replacement Of Monduran Bridge»

Bundaberg Regional Council and the Australian and Queensland Governments support the economic and social future of the Monduran locality by funding the cost of this $3 Million bridge replacement under the Australian Government Bridges Renewal Program and the Queensland Government Transport Infrastructure Development Scheme. Rubyanna Wastewater Treatment Plant»

To meet the region's long term growth and development needs, Council is planning to construct a new wastewater treatment plant with the capacity to service 90,000 residents and has an option to purchase an area of land from Bundaberg Sugar for the proposed treatment plant. Read More

Super Park - Bundaberg Region Athletics and Netball Facility»

Council has relocated the existing athletics facility from adjacent to the Agrotrend grounds to the new 'Super Park' site on Enid Ethel Drive. It is the only full synthetic surface athletics facility between Sunshine Coast and Townsville. The Super Park is being expanded to include a new netball facility. It is planned to have the new facility ready for the 2015 Netball season. Read more
